Nereyda! Great video in promoting the fantastic Web 2.0 tool of Twiducate! I am super excited that I followed your blog because I also discovered a form of media literacy that is similar to Twiducate called Edmodo. You might have heard of Edmodo, but it seems to do some of the same things that Twiducate offers. I am constantly on the lookout for these forms of age-appropriate social networking tools because it relates directly to my Action Research Project! I am attempting to show that appropriate forms of media literacy can engage students beyond the classroom and assist in extending learning along with producing more effective parent to teacher/teacher to parent communication regarding their child. Twiducate looks to do just that. It also appears to be a great way for teachers to connect with students and parents when building an online community to share ideas, thoughts, discussions, homework, and other Web 2.0 facets.
ReplyDeleteI like how your video illustrates the ease of this application, along with its objective within the classroom. There are so many tools out there that appear to be effective for the classroom, but can turn into more of a problem maker and detract from learning as opposed to supplementing it. I also appreciated how your message pointed to the fact that so many people, including students, are on the social network bandwagon, we as educators might as well channel this tool to enhance learning. At any rate, awesome job on your commercial! I am sold and will soon be registering for Twiducate!
I appreciate your comment and glad to hear that you have been sold to trying out Twiducate. I'm currently using Twiducate to communicate with my critical friends for my AR project so they can also learn how to use it and see how effective it can be in the classroom. I will also check out your recommendation.
